Visitors from all over the world come to Richmond  to explore and discover its many attractions, parks and gardens or to just wander along the River Thames.

 

Richmond is a treasure trove of stunning architecture steeped in history. The area is best known for Hampton Court Palace the renowned playground of King Henry VIII, its glorious grounds and mind-boggling outdoor maze are a sight not to be missed, The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew from the elegant Palm house to the modern Princess of Wales Conservatory, the exotic Pagoda and the Temperate House, the gardens contain the finest plant collection in the world and Twickenham home of English Rugby Union is the ultimate experience for rugby union fans.

 

Richmond Park is London's largest park with 2,500 acres of hills, woodlands and grassland with stunning views as far as St Paul's Cathedral. Home to large herds of red and fallow deer, the gated park was designated as a National Nature Reserve in 2000. The adventurous can enjoy a number of activities including horse riding, cycling and power kiting. It also houses the magnificent Isabella Plantation and the gardens at Pembroke Lodge.
