EXAM COURSES

Intensive practice of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills is essential to enhance students' performance in the various examinations offered by RLT.

  • University of Cambridge Examinations
  • KET - Key English Test.  Studying for KET will improve practical English Skills needed for 'real-life situations' and requires an elementary to pre-intermediate level of English to join this course.  You will learn to speak well in everday situations, understand notices and short written texts, write messages, understand English speakers giving everyday information and learn new vocabulay and grammar.
  • PET - Preliminary English Test.  Studying for PET will improve practical English skills where regular contact with English speakers is essential and participants require a pre-intermediate to intermediate level to join this course.  You will learn how to speak with more confidence, widen your vocabulary and improve your grammar, develop your speaking and listening skills and write short letters and texts.
  • FCE - First Certificate in English.  Studying for FCE will enable you to achieve a internationally recognised qualification and requires an intermediate level of English to join this course.  You will learn to speak with more confidence in a variety of situations, extend your vocabulary and improve grammatical accuracy, develop more effective reading and listening strategies and write formal letters, essays and other written tasks.
  • CAE - Cambridge Advanced English.  Studying for CAE will enable you to gain entry to higher courses run at colleges as well as universities the the UK and requires an upper-intermediate level of English to join this course. You will learn to speak with increased confidence in a variety of situations, use a rich variety of vocabulary, enhanced grammatical accuracy, develop effective listening and 'speed-reading' strategies and write formal letters, essays and other writing tasks with competence. These courses start in March and September. The course duration is 12 weeks. 

  • International English Language Testing System
  • IELTS - This course is ideal for students who want an internationally recognised qualification which allows them to enter colleges and universities in the UK and requires an upper-intermediate to advanced level to join this course. You will learn to discuss complex ideas, give presentations, adapt listening and note taking skills required for attending lectures, develop strategies for reading academic texts and write degree level essays.
